According to a decision by the General Assembly of the Council of Bureaux (COB), starting from January 1, 2025, International Motor Insurance Certificates, known as Green Cards, will be accepted in electronic format (pdf).

Insured individuals will be able to present the Green Card in electronic form through any device (e.g., mobile phone, tablet, laptop) during checks by the authorities of the 50 countries participating in the Green Card System. - Cancellation of Mandatory Printing:
The printing of the Green Card is no longer required, as it will be fully accepted in digital form. Printing remains optional and can be done if the insured wishes. - Benefits for the Insured:
